Heinrich Boll Foundation internship in the United States is open to enrolled bachelor's and master's degree students or recent bachelor’s degree recipients. Students who have already received a master's degree or enrolled in a Ph.D. program are not eligible. Interns will most probably arrive in the spring of 2024.

Benefits

The benefits of the Fully Funded Heinrich Boll Foundation Washington DC Internship in USA are:

1. A monthly stipend of $700 for full-time positions and proportionally less for part-time

2. 5 paid vacation days per 3-month period for full-time internships

Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for the Fully Funded Heinrich Boll Foundation Washington DC Internship in USA are stated below:

1. Experience in at least one of our program areas.

2. Competent command of English

3. A full-time commitment of 40 hours per week for 3 to 6 months (part-time only on a case-by-case basis)

4. Should complete at least two years of university-level experience

5. Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program OR recent (< 1 year) Bachelor’s degree recipients.

Intern Responsibilities

1. Administrative Responsibilities:

a) Provide logistical support for the preparation and implementation of visitor programs and events

b) Manage front desk duties (i.e., answer telephones, respond to information inquiries)

c) Manage contact and program-specific databases

2. Communications:

a) Develop social media content and communications strategies

b) update content on our website and blogs.

3. Research

a) conduct background research on topical issues and current events

b) prepare research for upcoming events, tours, and speaker’s series

4. Capstone project

complete a capstone project on a chosen topic, including a policy paper, expert interview, explanatory video script, or series of blog posts.
