Scholarship Description

The Applications are open to apply for the MIT KSJ Fellowship 2025/26 in the USA. KSJ Stands for the Knight Science Journalism. This is a long-term 9-month Fellowship Program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States. The fellowship is open to all the Nationals from all the countries. Language proficiency tests are not required for the Knight Science Journalism Fellowship. The objective of the Fellowship is to allow them to delve into the worlds of science, technology, and journalism; to specialize in a scientific field, and to learn from some of the world’s leading research institutions. Scholarship Benefits

The KSJ (Knight Science Journalism) Fellowship covers:

  • $85,000 Stipend Paid for 9.5 months

Scholarship Eligibility

To be eligible for a KSJ Fellowship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • The Fellowship is open to applicants from all around the world.
  • Full-time journalists: Applicants must be full-time journalists, either employed by a media organization or working as freelancers.
  • Experience: At least three years of experience in science, health, technology, or environmental reporting.
  • Journalistic roles: Applicants can be reporters, writers, editors, producers, illustrators, filmmakers, or photojournalists working in print, digital, or broadcast media.
  • There is no application Fee.
  • English Language Test is not required.

Fellows Responsibilities

Fellows will carry out a Research Project in the Journalism field. Past fellows worked on these projects: long-form narratives, multimedia reporting, video and audio projects, or research for book proposals. Fellows will also gain expertise in specific scientific fields.
