Introduction

The Fully Funded IARC Summer School in France is open to all nationals. It is a fully funded 5-day training program taking place in Lyon, France. People from low-income and middle-income countries will receive support and funding for travel expenses, accommodation, and dee waivers. It aims to invite participants who are working, studying, and doing research in cancer prevention and control to enhance their knowledge and skills. This program will focus on the causes of cancer and how to control it. It consists of 2 to 4 weeks of online training and then 5 days of in-person training in France. It encourages people from all countries to take part.

Eligibility

  • Citizens of all countries can apply.
  • Participants can attend only one module.
  • All participants must be fluent in English.
  • Scholarship priority is given to applicants from low- and medium-resource countries.

Modules of Summer School

There are two modules, and participants can apply to one Module only.

  • Introduction to Cancer Epidemiology: This course will focus on the practical application of epidemiological principles and methods to various cancer control activities, mainly targeting the search for the causes of cancer.
  • Implementing Cancer Prevention and Early Detection: This course will provide a broad perspective on principles, concepts, issues, and practices of cancer prevention, early detection, and program implementation
