Introduction

The Fully Funded WHO Internship Programme in Switzerland is open to all nationals. The World Health Organization (WHO) offers this international internship program for students and recent graduates. The World Health Internship Programme is open for Bachelors, Masters, and PhD students. Most of the internship positions in this WHO internship program are available at the World Health Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.

The objectives of this WHO Internship Program 2024 are to provide a framework for assigning students from different academic backgrounds to WHO programs where their skills and educational experience can be enhanced through capacity-building opportunities and to provide an opportunity for WHO programs to benefit from students specializing in different fields related to technical and administrative programs of WHO. WHO offers these fully funded internships for international students in technical areas and administrative programs such as external relations, communication, or human resources.

The duration of this WHO Internship 2024 is Six to Twenty-Four weeks. The World Health Organization internship program is fully funded, which means it will cover almost all the expenses, including accommodation, airfare tickets, stipend, and Medical support. Furthermore, there is no registration fee for the WHO internship. Another benefit of this fully funded European internship is that it doesn’t require IELTS. Internees can also get a certificate or a recommendation letter after completing the world health internship program.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be at least 25 of age on the date of application.
  • They must be enrolled in any university or equivalent institution for formal qualification (undergraduate, graduate, or postgraduate).
  • Their qualification must be in a public health, medical, or social field related to WHO technical work or management, communications, administrative, or external relations-related field.
  • Applicants who have already completed their degree are also eligible if they apply for the internship within six months following the completion of their qualification.
  • They must have completed three years of their degree.
  • Anyone in an Undergraduate program, Master’s, or a PhD applicant can apply.
  • There is not any language test requirement, such as IELTS, but applicants must be fluent in at least one of the WHO office working languages.
  • Applicants must not be related to a WHO staff member (e.g., daughter, son, brother, sister, mother, or father).
  • Applicants must have not previously participated in any of the WHO’s Internship Programme.
  • Applicants must have a valid passport from a WHO Member State.
