Scholarship Description

This is a Fully Funded two-month residency program split between Switzerland and Denmark. Participants will spend the First Month at the CERN in Geneva and the Second Month at Copenhagen Contemporary in Copenhagen. The program aims to invite artists interested in science and technology and eager to collaborate with scientists and engineers. Applicants are required to submit a Proposal. The Collide Residency Program is open to all Nationals and supports artistic research on art, science, and technology. During the residency, artists conduct research on their proposals and engage in meaningful conversations with scientists, engineers, and staff. The Collide Residency Program will accept proposals that explore the influence of advanced technologies and scientific research on modern culture and society.

Scholarship Benefits

The Program Covers:

  • Round Airfare Travel
  • Free Accommodation in Switzerland and Denmark
  • Stipend of CHF 15,000.


Scholarship Eligibility

  • The Program is open to applicants from all countries.
  • Must be 18 or over 18 years old.
  • Artists with at least 5 years of professional artistic experience and a strong body of work.
  • Artists interested in the cultural significance of scientific research and technology.
  • Artists must be eager to engage with scientists, engineers, and staff at CERN and CC.
  • Artists are capable of collaborative and interdisciplinary work.
  • Artists are interested in CERN’s community, history, and narratives.
  • Artists whose work explores new models of social inquiry and the intersection of art, science, technology, and society.
