CERN offers the best programs for bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD Students to spend one of the most beautiful months at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland, while doing work. The CERN Doctoral Student program is a great chance to work on your thesis while spending three years (36 months) in Geneva, Switzerland, at CERN. Whether you have already decided on a thesis subject or on a track to determine it, this opportunity is for you. CERN offers a fully funded Doctoral Student Program for Doctoral students.

Scholarship Benefits
- A Contract of 6 months, renewable up to 3 years.
- An Allowance of 3868 Swiss Francs per month (net of tax).
- A Travel Allowance (Economy Class Air Tickets)
- Depending on your circumstances, a supplement if you are married or have children.
- Health Insurance Scheme
- 2,5 days of paid leave per month.
Note: CERN will not cover any cost related to your University of Tuition Fees.
Scholarship Eligibility
- You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State
- You have started or are about to start a doctoral program at a university.
- Have completed at least 18 months of your undergraduate studies (Bachelor’s or Master’s)
- You must remain registered as a full-time student during the internship at CERN.
- You have a good knowledge of English and French.
- Proof of English Language Test is not required.
