Introduction

The Fully Funded CERN OPENLAB Summer Student Programme in Switzerland is open to all nationals. It offers a 2 month fully funded internship for students of all nationalities. There are no citizenship restrictions. Students enrolled in Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs or those who will graduate by May 2025 are eligible to apply. It is a 9-week program taking place from (June-August 2025). There is no application fee, and IELTS is not required. Students will collaborate with experts, attend lectures, visit CERN facilities, and present their work at the end of the program.

Eligibility

  • You must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program with a strong computing profile.
  • An applicant must have completed at least three years of full-time university-level studies by Summer 2025.
  • Students graduating in the Summer of 2025 (May) are also eligible to apply.
  • You must remain enrolled as a student during your CERN internship.
  • Applicants should not have previously worked at CERN.
  • Candidates of all nationalities are welcome to apply for this program.
