The Fully Funded CERN OpenLab Summer Student Program in Switzerland is open to all internationals. Are you currently a student studying Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and have an interest in computer science or have a strong IT profile? Are you seeking practical training experience during the European summer (June–August)? If yes, apply now for the CERN OpenLab Summer Student Program 2024!

The duration of the program is nine weeks (June-August 2024). CERN Openlab students will work on advanced IT projects and will be given a series of IT lectures specially prepared for them by experts at CERN and other institutes.

The Fully Funded CERN OpenLab Summer Student Program in Switzerland will provide:

1. A contract of association of 9 weeks to work on an advanced IT project.

2. A 92 CHF per calendar day (net of tax) subsistence allowance to cover the cost of accommodation and meals in Geneva.

3. A Travel allowance is paid at the end of your stay to help you with the cost of travel from your country to Geneva.

4. Comprehensive Health Insurance.

5. Assistance to find accommodation on the CERN site or nearby.

The eligibility criteria for the Fully Funded CERN OpenLab Summer Student Program in Switzerland are stated below:

1. Candidates from all nationalities can apply.

2. You are a Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree student with a strong computing profile.

3. By summer 2024, you have completed at least six semesters.

4. You will remain registered as a student while at CERN.

5. If you expect to graduate during the European summer of 2024 (as of May), you are also eligible to apply.

6. You have a good knowledge of English and French.
