Merit-Based The studentships are open for the academic year 2020. These are highly financial aids available for international students for pursuing an undergraduate program at Shawnee State University.

The Shawnee State University is a public university that was established in 1986, making it one of Ohio’s youngest universities, and is located along the banks of the Ohio River in the city of Portsmouth in Scioto County.

Shawnee Scholar Award: Full-tuition funding for four years.
Shawnee Achievement Award: ($5,750 per year/$23,000 for four years)
Shawnee Excellence Award: ($4,750 per year/$19,000 for four years)
Shawnee Success Award: ($3,750 per year/$15,000 for four years)
Blue & Gray Award: ($2,750 per year/$11,000 for four years)

Eligibility

  • Eligible Countries: Citizens of all nationalities are eligible to apply.
  • Entrance Requirements:
  • Shawnee Scholar Award: This highly competitive support will be awarded to 8 outstanding students. If you have an ACT score of 30 and higher or SAT (combined reading/math) score of 1320+ and a high school grade point average of at least 3.8/4.0 scale you will be considered for this prestigious award. Those in consideration will be asked to submit sample work.
  • Shawnee Achievement Award: If you have an ACT score of 27 and higher or SAT (combined reading/math) score of 1210+ and a high school grade point average of at least 3.8/4.0 scale you will be considered for this award.
  • Shawnee Excellence Award: If you have an ACT score of 25 and higher or SAT (combined reading/math) score of 1130+ and a high school grade point average of at least 3.6/4.0 scale you will be considered for this award.
  • Shawnee Success Award: If you have an ACT score of 23 and higher or SAT (combined reading/math) score of 1060+ and a high school grade point average of at least 3.4/4.0 scale you will be considered for this award.
  • Blue & Gray Award: If you have an ACT score of 21 and higher or SAT (combined reading/math) score of 980+ and a high school grade point average of at least 3.2/4.0 scale you will be considered for this award.

Others

Students whose first language is not English must demonstrate proficiency in English by submitting satisfactory scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
