Introduction

The MITACS Globalink Research Internship in Canada is open to all nationals. A 12-week internship runs from May to October of each year at a Canadian University equipped with outstanding research facilities. Applicants will work under the supervision of a faculty member of a Canadian academic institution. Mitacs Globalink Research Internships can offer you a global experience like no other.

The MITACS Internship is open to enrolled Undergraduate students or combined undergraduate/master’s program from the following countries: Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Mexico, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Taiwan, Tunisia, Ukraine, United Kingdom, and the United States. Another thing is that applicants do not need to submit IELTS Test scores. All the expenses will be covered.

Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for the MITACS Globalink Research Internship in Canada are stated below:

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Meet the GPA requirements set for each country.
  • Have at least one to three semesters left as of fall 2025.
  • You are welcome to apply if you don’t currently have a valid passport.
  • Obtain a reference letter from a professor.
  • Update your CV
  • Obtain your academic transcripts (in either English or French).
  • Apply to a minimum of three and a maximum of ten projects and ensure selections are from at least three different Canadian provinces.
  • Passport Validity should be till January 2026.
