Introduction

The Fully Funded ETH Student Summer Research Fellowship in Switzerland is open to all nationals. The program offers undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to gain their first research experience in an area of their choice. The fellowship provided by the Computer Science Department of ETH takes place during two summer months and is open to all students worldwide. The department is committed to increasing diversity in the computer science area. The Computer Science Department of Zurich University offers the ETH fellowship. The fellowship begins on July 1st and ends on August 31st. It is one of the best summer internships in Switzerland for international students. IELTS is not required. There is no application fee.

Eligibility

  • The fellowship is open to all students worldwide.
  • IELTS is not required.
  • Bachelor’s and Master’s students can apply.
  • Applicants enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master’s degree program in computer science or a closely related field (e.g., electrical engineering, mathematics, physics) can apply.
  • You must be enrolled in a degree program during and after the fellowship. Your expected graduation date is in the same year or after the fellowship year.
  • You will have completed two years of study (for a Bachelor's)
  • Although formal evidence of language proficiency is not required.

In the online application, you have to upload several documents:

  • Your CV. It should be in Europass CV format
  • Official academic transcript from your home university.
  • If you are in the first semester of a master’s program, and your result for the first semester is not yet available, then please indicate your final bachelor’s degree GPA.
  • Letter of motivation/personal statement (max 1 page)
  • Do not upload password-protected PDFs.
  • Do not apply at the last minute.
