The Lamar University Academic Excellence Scholarship in USA will give students $32,000 over four years: $5,500 per year will be applied toward tuition, and $2,500 will be applied toward the on-campus residence hall at Lamar University.

Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for the Lamar University Academic Excellence Scholarship in USA are stated below:

1. The program is for first-time-in-college freshmen (dual credit and AP credit are still eligible) with a minimum high school GPA* of 3.8 and must rank in the top 25% of their class** OR submit SAT (1200-1320) or ACT (25-28) test scores.

2. International students must submit their SAT (1200-1320) or ACT (25-28) scores for consideration.

2. The conferred bachelor’s or master’s degree as required for the intended program from a regionally accredited US institution or its equivalent.

3. The most recent attendance if it differs from the institution of the conferred degree. This requirement applies regardless of the time in attendance and whether credit was earned or is desired.

4. Admission Requirements: For admission, applicants check the entry requirements of the university.

5. Language Requirement: International applicants, both undergraduate and graduate, must provide proof of English language proficiency through scores on the TOEFL or IELTS.
