The eligibility criteria for the George Mason University Bachelors Scholarship in USA are stated below:

1. You are a first-year, undergraduate, international applicant of any major applying to Mason. An international applicant is an individual who holds citizenship in a country outside the U.S. and who does not also possess U.S. citizenship or permanent residency.

2. You demonstrate interest and initiative in leadership and intercultural learning.

3. You meet the admission criteria and adhere to the deadlines at Mason.

4. You complete a scholarship application and a 500-1000 word essay or a two-to-five minute video describing your leadership skills in your school or community and how you plan to continue applying your leadership skills at Mason.

How to Apply?

1. Apply to Mason as a freshman and submit all required application materials by the deadline. When filling out your Mason application, you will see a question that asks if you are interested in applying to the You Are Welcome Here Scholarship.

2. Common Application: If you answer ‘yes’ to the You Are Welcome Here scholarship question, you can upload your essay with the application. If you are including a video please upload a document with the link to the video.

3. Mason’s Exclusive Online Application: If you answer ‘yes’ to the You Are Welcome Here scholarship question, we will follow up with further instructions on submitting the application and essay.

4. Supporting Documents: Complete the scholarship application, which includes a 500-1,000 word essay or a 2-5 minute video describing your leadership skills in your school or community and how you plan to apply those skills at Mason.

5. Admission Requirements: Application for admission by international students should be made directly to the Office of Admissions via the online application.

6. Language Requirement: The applicants must attain minimum required scores on the following English language proficiency tests. They must check out all the Language Requirements of the university.
