Scholarship Description

The National Scholarship Program for Slovakia 2023 is now accepting applications. The Ministry of Education, Science, Research, and Sport of the Slovak Republic is providing this fully financed scholarship.

Higher education institutes in Slovakia accept students from all around the world. Students pursuing their master's or doctoral degrees, university instructors, researchers, and artists can all apply for the Slovak Republic NSP Scholarships.

Scholarship Benefits

For international students, this is a full-fee scholarship in Slovakia. Almost most of the expenses for studying abroad in Slovakia will be covered by this scholarship, not all, but most of them, such as:

  • The free scholarships for international students to Cover International Scholarship Holders’ Living Costs
  • Food, Accommodation During Their Stay
  • University Student: 400 €
  • Ph.D. Student: 734 €
  • Travel Allowance for University and Ph.D. Students:
    • Distance up to 350 km – 0 €,
    • reach more than 350 km. 2,000 km – 250 €,
    • get more than 2,000 km, max. 7,000 km – 500 €,
    • reach more than 7,000 km – 1 000 €.
  • University Teacher, Researcher, Artist
    • Without a Ph.D. (or its equivalent) and less than four years of work experience as a university teacher, researcher, or artist: 734 euros
    • Ph.D. (or equivalent) and less than ten years of experience as a university teacher/researcher/artist: 980 €
    • A Ph.D. (or equivalent) and over ten years of experience as a university teacher/researcher/artist: 1,050 euros.

Scholarship Eligibility

Below are the General Eligibility Criteria

  • International students from all over the world are eligible to apply.
  • Students at universities outside of Slovakia.
  • Please note that this Slovakia full scholarship for international students in 2023 is not a full-time scholarship for full bachelor’s, master’s, or Ph.D. degrees.
  • Please note that this is not a full bachelor’s degree scholarship, master’s degree scholarship, or Ph.D. degree scholarship.
  • Students who are in the second level of higher education (master’s students) or who have already completed the same study program for at least 2.5 years at the time of the application deadline.
