This scholarship, valued at up to $8,000, is awarded to the student rugby player in Year 12 at an Australian school who best exemplifies the characteristics that made Lieutenant Colonel Sir Ernest Edward "Weary" Dunlop famous: academic endeavor, leadership, and sporting excellence. It is awarded through the University's Elite Athlete Program.

• An AUD 2,500 tertiary scholarship from the University of Melbourne.
• An AUD 2,500 rugby scholarship from the Melbourne University Rugby Football Club.
• Melbourne University Sport Winged Victory support via the University's Elite Athlete Program.

• Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident in Year 12.
• Must enroll to study at the University of Melbourne in 2025.
• Must join the Melbourne University Rugby Football Club for the 2025 season.
