Established to remember Professor Smith and his exceptional contribution to Asian legal studies, this scholarship is open to commencing domestic and international students of the Melbourne JD who have completed either an undergraduate degree majoring in Asian studies at a tertiary institution in Australia or Asia or an undergraduate law degree at a tertiary institution in Asia.

Malcolm D H Smith Memorial Scholarship 2024 provides a single payment of up to AUD 5,000.
