Irene Pestov Memorial Scholarship at VUW in New Zealand 2025

The Irene Pestov Memorial Scholarship is open to all nationals. It is offered for Master's and PhD degrees in the fields of Mathematical Sciences and Geosciences. The deadline for sending an application is 30 Nov 2024. This scholarship is provided by the Victoria University of Wellington (VUW).

This scholarship was set up by Vladimir, Xenia, and Sviatoslav (Slava) Pestov in memory of their late wife and mother, Irene Pestov, who completed her PhD in Mathematics at Victoria University of Wellington from 1993 to 1996.

The value of the Scholarship is NZD 2,000 (subject to funds available).

• It is open to female students.
• Students should be studying Mathematical Sciences or Geosciences in the final stage of working on their thesis.
• Applicants must be enrolled full-time in PhD or MSc study at Te Herenga Waka-Victoria University of Wellington.
