Introduction

The ICYF Young Volunteers Camp in Turkey is open to all nationals. It is a unique platform for young aspiring leaders to gain valuable insights into addressing the growing social and humanitarian challenges. As the 6th edition of this international camp, it offers promising and enthusiastic youth the chance to engage in diverse projects, expanding their understanding of tackling significant issues under various circumstances. This 2024 ICYF International Young Volunteers Camp in Turkey is titled “Young Volunteers in Post-Disaster Psychosocial Support. It will take place from April 23 to May 5, 2024, in Antalya, Turkey. The participants will learn to act actively during humanitarian crises and natural disasters. The international camp in Turkey will select 150 young volunteers (75 young men and 75 young women).

The Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum conducts the ICYF Youth Camp in partnership with the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Turkey. This exceptional funded volunteering opportunity in Antalya features separate volunteering days for males and females. This approach allows each group to identify and work on their unique strengths and weaknesses when responding to natural disasters and humanitarian crises. Additionally, the ICYF Young Volunteers Camp 2024 covers theoretical and practical aspects, offering simulative sessions and workshops and providing young leaders with comprehensive learning experiences during this internationally supported volunteer camp.

Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for the ICYF Young Volunteers Camp in Turkey are stated below:

  • Applicants must be from OIC member states, OIC observatory states, or represent Muslim communities in non-OIC member states.
  • Individuals between the age groups 18-35 are eligible to apply.
  • All applicants must be able to communicate in English.
  • Participants must possess relevant experience in humanitarian and volunteer work.
  • The applicants must provide proof of previous volunteer work.
  • Applicants must commit to attending the entire duration of the ICYF Young Volunteers Camp 2024 in Turkey.
