Introduction

The Fully Funded TWAS-TUBITAK Postgraduate Fellowship in Turkey is open to all nationals. It is an excellent opportunity to pursue a fellowship program in Türkiye (Turkey). The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) and TWAS have collaborated to create a fellowship initiative for scholars from developing nations in the Southern regions of the world. This international fellowship enables fellows to conduct research for a doctoral degree in the natural sciences and closely related fields. The main aim of the Postgraduate Fellowship is to promote scientific research and cooperation between developing countries and Türkiye. Therefore, you should not miss this opportunity to pursue a PhD in Turkey on scholarship, especially if you are from a developing country in the South.

Having said that, TWAS-TUBITAK fellows can undertake their research in a wide array of fields, spanning the natural and applied sciences, which includes but is not limited to disciplines such as biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, engineering, and environmental sciences. The fellowship typically covers a period of 6 to 12 months, during which fellows can engage in their research activities. This postgraduate fellowship program is a notable opportunity sponsored by the World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) and TUBITAK. Hence, it is a part of the broader effort to promote scientific research and cooperation between developing countries and Turkey.

Moreover, the TWAS fellowship has had a significant impact on the careers of numerous scholars from developing countries. It not only supports academic and research growth but also promotes international collaboration and the sharing of scientific expertise. In addition, the TWAS-TUBITAK Postgraduate Fellowship offers financial support to cover living expenses, accommodation, and health insurance during the research fellowship period. Additionally, it provides round-trip airfare for fellows to travel to and from Turkey. The TWAS-TUBITAK Postgraduate Fellowship in Turkey is, therefore, a valuable opportunity for young scientists and researchers from developing nations to advance their academic and research careers while contributing to the international scientific community. The TUBITAK Scholarship plays a crucial role in building research capacity in developing countries and promoting global scientific cooperation.
