Scholarship Description

The Fully Funded Youth Interfaith Leaders Fellowship on Climate Change in USA is open to all nationals. It is a Fully Funded week-long program at Duke University, North Carolina, USA. Faith For Our Planet in Partnership with Duke Univeristy is looking for the Next Generation of faith-inspired Climate leaders. If you are the one, it’s for you, apply now. The applications are open for the third cycle and leaders from worldwide can apply. The program will run from May 24th to 30th, 2025.

25 Young people will get a chance to Join a program where they will get knowledge and training to address the Climate Change effectively. The Youth Interfaith Leaders Fellows will be trained by specialists in religious studies, climate change, cross-cultural and interfaith relations, media, and community work.

Scholarship Benefits

An exceptional opportunity to Visit the United States. The Fellowship covers:

  • The cost of Airfare travel
  • Visa fees will be given by the host institution.
  • Accommodation will be provided.
  • Meals will be given during the program.

Scholarship Eligibility

  • The age of the applicant is between 20 to 35 (required)
  • Have education, volunteer, and/or work experience relevant to the themes of the fellowship (environment, religion, community leadership, etc.)
  • Have access to a local network (social, professional, religious, etc.) or a willingness to mobilize accessible local networks
  • Have a command of the English language.
  • Provide reference letters after the selection.

Reference Letters From Shortlisted Applicants

All shortlisted applicants for an interview are required to provide one letter of recommendation from their workplace or educational institution which must be received within 7 days.

The referee is required to address the following:

  • Contact details: Email, phone number, work address, etc.
  • How long they have known you
  • A brief overall endorsement of your skills in leadership, networking, and other interpersonal skills
  • In what capacity have they known you (e.g., educational, voluntary, professional, religious, etc.)
  • A brief endorsement of your leadership, interpersonal skills, and previous performance at your place of work.

  • 10th November – 31st December 2024: Interview Cycle
  • January 2025: Announcement of the 2025 Youth Fellowship Cohort
  • 24th – 30th May 2025: Fellowship held at Duke University, USA
