Introduction

The Fully Funded Wilson Center Fellowship in USA is open to all nationals. It is a prestigious opportunity for scholars, practitioners, journalists, and public intellectuals to spend 9 months in Washington D.C., conduct research and engage with policymakers in Washington D.C. It’s a flagship international Fellowship Program of the Wilson Center in which fellows conduct research and write in their areas of interest. The Center is located in the heart of Washington, D.C.

Key features of the Wilson Center Fellowship

  • Fellows will be affiliated with one or more Wilson Center initiatives and are encouraged to engage with policymakers in Washington D.C., Wilson Center staff, and other scholars working on related research.
  • Fellows conduct independent research projects on topics related to global policy issues.
  • They have the chance to interact with policymakers, Wilson Center staff, and other scholars.
  • The Center aims to bridge the gap between the world of ideas and public policy, bringing them into creative contact, enriching the work, and enabling each to learn from the other.
  • The center also arranges seminars and workshops and organizes conferences. The Center invites Fellows to take part in the Center’s conferences, meetings, and seminars.

Benefits

  • Fellows will receive Free Accommodation
  • Fellows will get a $90,000 stipend for 9 months. Fellows are responsible to cover their own health insurance and travel expenses.
  • Each fellow will receive a furnished office.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of any country.
  • Applicants must have a valid passport and be eligible to obtain a J-1 visa.
  • Must hold a post-doctoral degree and have published a book or monograph beyond their doctoral dissertation.
  • Must demonstrate equivalent professional achievements.
  • Strong English Language Skills.
  • You do not need an institutional affiliation to apply.

  • Publications List: 3-page maximum.
  • Project Proposal: 5-page maximum, single-spaced, 12-point font.
  • Bibliography: 3 pages maximum.
