This program’s objective is to assist doctorate candidates from all around the world who are interested in conducting research at the institution. The Tongarewa International Scholarships celebrate the university’s commitment to our international student community. We award a range of these scholarships to international students each year. This is a partial fee-based scholarship that will go towards tuition fees for one year of study. Applicants can either enter their first year of an undergraduate degree or enter a postgraduate degree program at Victoria University of Wellington.

$30,500 stipend annually plus tuition fees. Conditions apply.

These scholarships are open to graduates of any university within or outside of New Zealand who intend to enroll full-time for a Doctorate (PhD) or who have commenced their doctoral study at Victoria University of Wellington.
