Fully Funded UTRIP Summer Internship in Japan 2025

The Fully Funded UTRIP Summer Internship in Japan is open to all nationals. It is a fully funded summer internship at the University of Tokyo that lasts six weeks. The internship will run from June 25 to August 5, 2025. UTRIP Internship is one of the popular Japanese internships. UTRIP stands for the University of Tokyo Research Internship Program. Students enrolled in an undergraduate or integrated bachelor’s degree program are eligible to apply for the UTRIP Summer Internship. There is no application fee and IELTS is also not required if you are studying in an English medium institute.

• The UTRIP Internship is open to all nationals.
• Completed at least one full year of a bachelor’s degree program.
• Have at least one semester or quarter remaining in their undergraduate studies after the internship.
• Students enrolled in integrated Bachelor’s/Master’s programs are eligible.
• UTRIP is open to students in science, engineering, and all other relevant fields.
• Previous experience is not required.
• English Language Proficiency:
  • TOEFL or IELTS scores may be required.
  • Exemptions may be granted for students who have received a continuous 8-year English-medium education.
  • Expired test scores are accepted.
