Introduction

The Fully Funded UNIL Summer Research Program in Switzerland is open to all internationals. UNIL stands for the University of Lausanne. It is an eight-week summer research program for students from all around the world. It will host about fifteen bachelor's students worldwide with biological and medical studies backgrounds. Many universities and organizations produce Summer programs in Switzerland.

Having prior research experience is not a selection criterion. The SUR Programme 2024 will occur from July 3rd till August 28, 2024. Students also enjoy many social activities, including a hike in the Alps, barbecues, swimming in Lac Léman, and visits to other cities in Switzerland.

Benefits

The benefits of the Fully Funded UNIL Summer Research Program in Switzerland are:

1. Free Housing for the Participants (male/female) furnished apartment.

2. Students will have single or double rooms and share kitchen and bathroom facilities with their fellow SUR participants.

3. CHF 1’500 to cover other living expenses.

4. Travel Allowance. Generally, up to CHF 500 for European travel and CHF 1’200 for overseas travel is covered.

5. Visa assistance will be provided to all the participants who require a visa to travel to Switzerland.

6. The program does not pay for the visa cost.

7.  Participants must be covered for health and accidents from their home country.

Note: Reimbursement of travel expenses is made at the end of the program, after the accommodation has been checked out, subject to deduction of any cleaning/damage costs or loss of keys.

For reimbursement, original receipts, proof of payment, and boarding passes are required.

 

Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for the Fully Funded UNIL Summer Research Program in Switzerland are stated below:

1. Open to all students from all countries.

2. Must have completed two years of the degree program.

3. Selected participants will be emailed six weeks after the application deadline.

4. Only undergraduate students are eligible.

5. Students with both biological and medical studies backgrounds.

6. Having prior research experience is not necessary.
