The Swansea University is excited to announce the Fully-Funded EPSRC DTP PhD Scholarships in Single-Phase Pv-Battery Synchronverter with Seamless Transition to Stand-Alone Mode for the academic year 2022-2023.

The aim of this Swansea University International Scholarship is to encourage highly motivated students who want to commence a PhD degree programme at Swansea University.

Established in 1920, Swansea University has a great reputation as a research-intensive university with a great academic environment. It offers approximately 330 bachelor’s and 120 postgraduate courses to 19,160 undergraduate and graduate students. It is dedicated to students’ mental health and well-being and provides various student support services.

Benefits

Winners will receive the full cost of tuition fees and an annual stipend of £16,062 at Swansea University to cover their educational expenses.

Eligibility

  • Eligible Countries: All nationalities are eligible for this Swansea University International Scholarship.
  • Eligible Course or Subjects: PhD degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering offered by the university.
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:
  • Candidates must normally hold an undergraduate degree at 2.1 level (or Non-UK equivalent as defined by Swansea University) in Engineering or similar relevant science discipline.
  • This scholarship is open to candidates of any nationality.

  • How to Apply: Students can apply through the university portal. Interested students must follow the steps below at the time of admission application to apply for the scholarship.
  • Supporting Documents: The students are required to present the following documents to the university:
  • Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Monitoring Form(online form)
  • CV
  • Degree certificates and transcripts(if you are currently studying for a degree, screenshots of your grades to date are sufficient)
  • A one-page cover letter highlights why you think this is a good PhD program.
  • Two references
  • Evidence of meeting English Language requirements (if applicable).
  • Copy of UK resident visa (if applicable)
  • Admission Requirements: Candidates must have attained, or must be expected to attain, a first-class honours degree and a distinction at the master’s level.
  • Language Requirement: Applicants must have required IELTS 6.5 overall (with at least 5.5 in each component) or Swansea recognized equivalent. Details on the Swansea University English Language entry policy can be found here.
