The Fully Funded GEM Fellowship Program in USA is open for Americans. GEM offers MS and PhD Students a great opportunity for top students to access dozens of top engineering and science firms and universities across the country. The GEM Fellowship is designed to focus on promoting opportunities for graduates entering the industry in fields such as research and development, product development, and other advanced technical careers. Scholarship Benefits
For Masters Degree
Employer Fellows
- $4,000 living allowance per semester up to 4 semesters ($8K per academic year – 3 quarters)
- A total stipend of at least $16,000 for the entire master’s program
- Up to two paid summer internships with GEM Employer Member
- Full tuition and fees provided by a GEM University member
- The GEM Member University will provide a financial agreement upon confirmation of the GEM Fellowship in accordance with this proposed distribution of the GEM Employer Partnership.
University Fellows
- Full tuition and fees provided by GEM Member University
Associate Fellows
- Full tuition and fees provided by GEM Member University
- A minimum of $ 8,000 scholarship is awarded each year by a GEM member university.
For PhD Degree:
Employer Fellows
- $16,000 stipend applies for one academic year.
- Additional Scholarships (Assistant Scholarships, Grants, Other Scholarships Dollars) Support to bring the scholarship money from the GEM Member University to the level of funding for other funded PhD students in the field.
- At least one paid summer internship with a GEM employer member
- Full tuition and fees for the fifth year of the PhD program
Associate Fellows
- Full tuition and fees provided by GEM Member University
- The GEM Member University offers a minimum scholarship of $ 16,000 per year.
Scholarship Eligibility
General qualifications
Under representation:
Candidates are targeted for participation who are members of the following under-represented groups in science and engineering, as stated by the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics:
- American Indian / Native
- African American / Black
- Spanish American / Latin
Citizenship:
- Applicants must be U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents at the time of application.
GRE:
- Applicants are strongly encouraged to take the GRE to qualify for the various GEM Member University programs. Applicants will be asked to provide test dates and / or GRE scores when available.
For Masters Degree:
- Must be a senior, or graduate of an accredited engineering or computer science program at the time of application.
- Must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.8/4.0.
- Must contractually agree to intern for two summers with sponsoring GEM Employer, beginning the Summer after sponsorship.
For PhD Degree:
- Must be a senior, masters student, or graduate of an accredited engineering or applied science program at the time of application.
- Must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0/4.0.
- Must contractually agree to intern with a GEM Employer member the Summer immediately after sponsorship.
