Introduction

The Fully Funded Fulbright-García Robles Scholarship is open to Mexican nationals. It is offered for Master's and PhD degrees in the fields offered except Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Medicine. The deadline for sending an application is 04 Feb 2025. This scholarship is provided by Fulbright.

Mexican students have the opportunity to pursue a master's or doctorate in the US. The Commission will assist the scholarship recipients with the admission application process (payment and monitoring) in up to five universities, either through its resources or in collaboration with an organization that is under contract with the US Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA).

Eligibility

  • The applicant must be a Mexican national and not hold dual citizenship.
  • The applicant must not have previously received a Fulbright-García Robles master's or doctoral scholarship.
  • The applicant must intend to enroll in a master's or doctoral program at a university in the US.
  • The applicant must obtain a minimum of 55 points on the COMEXUS quality scale.
  • The applicant must have a minimum GPA of 8 in the most recent degree from an accredited institution.
    • This must be verified with a letter from the university or the final transcript of grades.
  • The applicant must have cleared one of the following English Proficiency Tests:
    • TOEFL IBT: 80
    • IELTS (Academic): 6.5
    • Duolingo: 120

Application Process:

All eligible candidates must apply online to be considered for the scholarship. The application should include the following components:

  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Response to the personal statement
  • An example or sample of a written work in their area of ​​specialization or discipline in English (For PhD candidates)
  • A digital portfolio by arts candidates
  • The candidates must submit additional supporting documents if requested by the provider.
