Scholarship Description

The Fully Funded Brunei Darussalam Government Scholarship is open to all nationals. The Brunei Ministry of Foreign Affairs is pleased to announce the applications for the Brunei Darussalam Government Scholarship 2024/25. The scholarship is to study Diploma, Undergraduate, and Postgraduate Master’s Degree programs at Brunei universities.

Scholarship Benefits

The benefits of the Fully Funded Brunei Darussalam Government Scholarship are:

1. Exemption from paying tuition fees including acceptance, examination, registration, and orientation fees for the duration of the program

2. An Economy class air ticket to Brunei Darussalam

3. Monthly personal allowance of BND$500.00

4. Monthly meal allowance of BND$150.00

5. Annual book allowance of BND$600.00

6. Accommodation at the residential college of the University/ Polytechnic

7. Baggage allowance

i) BND$250.00 to a country within the ASEAN region

ii) BND$500.00 to a country outside the ASEAN region

8. Comprehensive insurance cover

Scholarship Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for the Fully Funded Brunei Darussalam Government Scholarship are stated below:

1. The scholarship is open to all nationals.

2. Not exceed the age of 25, for Undergraduate, and Diploma programs

3. Not exceed the age of 35, for Postgraduate Master’s Degree programs

4. Be proficient in English

1. Certified true copies of academic qualifications and other supporting documents (certificates, testimonials, transcripts).

2. Certified English translations of supporting documents

3. Certified true copies of Birth Certificate and Passport

4. ​References and recommendations from referees. (C1 and C2)

2. ​Applicants applying to Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) must also complete an online application through https://apply.ubd.edu.bn/orbeon/uis-welcome/

3. Applicants applying to Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) must also complete an online application through https://apply.utb.edu.bn/
