Benefits

Federation University International PhD Scholarship will provide a stipend of $29140 per annum to the successful students for the academic session 2022/2023.

Eligibility

  • Eligible Countries: All nationalities are eligible for this Federation University International PhD Scholarship
  • Eligible Course or Subjects: PhD degree in the area of Applied Economics and Sustainability
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the given criteria:
  • Strong quantitative research skills
  • Experience of farm-level data collection
  • Interest in the agri-food industry and sustainable business models
  • Some research experience in climate economics, carbon offsets, biodiversity credits.

  • Supporting Documents: Students must submit academic transcripts of all the previous school attended,

  • Permanent Residents must provide a copy of their visa and passport

  • Copy of honours or master’s thesis abstract
  • Evidence for Australian honours equivalency, if applicable.

  • Admission Requirements: Applicants must have to meet the following requirements:
  • Successful completion of an undergraduate degree and subsequent additional honours degree which is graded at first-class or second class (upper division) and which includes a thesis or dissertation demonstrating the ability to undertake research at a PhD level; OR
  • Successful completion of a Masters by Research degree that included a dissertation, demonstrating the ability to undertake research at PhD level
  • Language Requirement: IETLS or TOEFL tests are the preferred measures for English Language Proficiency (ELP). Applicants who can demonstrate ELP exemption are still expected to provide IELTS or TOEFL where possible. A request for exemption from the ELP requirements will only be considered under the following circumstances:
  • Students who have completed at least five years’ study in one or more of the following countries: Australia, UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, or the Republic of Ireland.
  • Citizens and passport holders of one of the following English-speaking countries: UK, USA, Canada, NZ, or Republic of Ireland.
