BEA administers scholarships annually to honor broadcasters and the entire electronic media profession.  Scholarships are awarded to juniors, seniors, and/or graduate students at BEA member institutions – unless otherwise noted in the descriptions listed below. All selected scholarship recipients also receive complimentary membership to BEA’s Honor Society, AERho.

Scholarship Benefits

The successful candidates are awarded a sum of up to USD 4,000.

Scholarship Eligibility

  • Applicants may come from any nationality.
  • Applicants must be juniors, seniors, and/or graduate students at BEA member institutions.

All eligible candidates must apply online to be considered for the scholarship. The application should include the following components:

  • College transcripts,
  • Reference Letters,
  • A copy of the thesis or dissertation proposal abstract (if the candidate is applying for the LAB scholarship).
