Introduction

The University of Alberta’s Andrew Stewart Memorial Graduate Prize is an initiative toward financially assisting to meritorious doctoral students. It will provide immediate usable funds to make a University of Alberta’s education more affordable for students.

Eligibility

Eligible Countries: There is no restriction on citizenship. Eligible Course or Subjects: All majors Eligibility Criteria: To be selected for this program, you must fulfil the following requirements: Must be a full-time doctoral student Must have completed at least 24 months (2 years) in their doctoral program by December 31, 2019, and have completed no more than six years. For students who transferred from a master’s to a doctoral program, the time spent in the master’s program counts towards the time spent in the doctoral. All fields of study are eligible for funding A recipient may hold the award only once Must be actively engaged in thesis research at the time of the award offering There is no minimum GPA requirement however selection is secondarily based on academic merit
