The University of Sydney is eagerly awaiting applications from excellent students for its Yim Family Foundation PhD Top Up International Scholarships in Australia.

The University of Sydney International Scholarship is available to all Australian and international applicants to pursue a PhD program in the Faculty of Science.  The studentship is designed for the academic session 2022/2023.

The University of Sydney will provide the selected candidates a $5000 per annum and is tenable for one year of study.

Eligibility

  • Eligible Countries: Australian national students and other overseas students are both eligible to apply for this University of Sydney International Scholarship.
  • Eligible Course or Subjects: Students can apply for a PhD programme in the Faculty of Science at the University of Sydney.
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • Be a domestic or international student
  • Have an unconditional offer of admission or be enrolled in a full-time PhD at the Faculty of Science
  • Be willing to research into chemistry, mathematics, molecular bioscience or physics
  • Hold an honours degree (first-class or second class upper) or a master’s degree in a related field with a substantial research component
  • Hold a primary scholarship from the University of Sydney that provides a stipend allowance

  • How to Apply: To be applying for this award, applicants are required to submit their application for admission via the online application portal of the university.
  • Supporting Documents: The students are required to present the following documents to the university:
  • CV
  • Two referee report
  • Research proposal
  • Academic transcripts
  • Student visa
  • Admission Requirements: Students must have relevant skills, interests, and qualifications to be admitted to a PhD research programme at the University of Sydney.
  • Language Requirement: The students must submit scores of the following English language proficiency tests:
  • IELTS (Academic) – 7.0
  • TOEFL iBT – 96
  • PTE Academic – 68
