The John O'Brien Memorial Coursework Scholarships at University of Sydney in Australia is open to all nationals. It is offered for a Master's degree in the field of Criminal Law and Criminology. The deadline for sending an application is 24 Nov 2024. This scholarship is provided by the University of Sydney.

The John O'Brien Memorial Fund was created in 2008 through a bequest to provide a perpetual memorial fund. The bequest's goal is to fund scholarships for University of Sydney Law School students studying criminal law in particular. These scholarships are given yearly to new Master of Criminology students based on the curriculum.

Scholarship Benefits

  • AUD 10,000 per year if you are enrolled full-time (24 credit points per semester)
  • AUD 5,000 per year if you are enrolled part-time (12 credit points per semester).

Scholarship Eligibility

  • The candidate must get an unconditional admission offer from Sydney Law School for a Master of Criminology program to be eligible for the scholarship.
  • Applications from students who have already started their Master of Criminology program or who are transferring from another postgraduate school are not accepted.
  • In their previous tertiary studies, applicants must have received a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 70 or above.
