The Tracey Banivanua Mar Scholarship at La Trobe University in Australia is open to Australian and New Zealand nationals. It is offered for a Bachelor's degree in the field of Arts. The deadline for sending an application is 28 Jan 2025. This scholarship is provided by the La Trobe University.

This scholarship has been established to support a student undertaking a part-time or full-time Bachelor of Arts (on campus or online) or Arts (Honours) student who demonstrates similar qualities to Tracey Banivanua Mar to be a voice for 'their people' communities and nations across the Pacific, women everywhere fighting for autonomy and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Successful applicants of the Tracey Banivanua Mar Scholarship will receive $5,000 for one year.

Eligibility

Applicants must be Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents, or New Zealand citizens.
Candidates should be enrolled full or part-time in the Bachelor of Arts (or associated double degree) in Semester 1 2025 (studying online, on campus, or both) or be enrolled full or part-time in the Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Semester 1 2025 (studying online, on campus, or both).
Students should be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander and/or Pacific Island descent.
Applicants must have achieved a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 65 or above.
