The Tahir Scholarship in Singapore is open to Singapore citizens and permanent residents. It is offered for a bachelor's degree in the field of Courses offered by the university. The deadline for sending your application is 31 May 2024. Singapore Management University provides this scholarship. 

Tahir Scholarship 2022 is made possible from the proceeds of an endowed donation from prominent Indonesian businessman and philanthropist Dato’ Sri Prof. DR. Tahir, Founder of the Mayapada Group. The scholarship is available to full-time undergraduates (freshmen) at the Singapore Management University pursuing any degree program. It aims to motivate and inspire students who require financial assistance to scale greater heights. The recipient is encouraged to initiate or be part of an overseas community service project in Indonesia.

The Tahir Scholarship in Singapore will provide an amount of SGD 15,000. Tahir Scholarship is tenable for up to 4 years of the recipient’s academic studies, subject to continued observance of the eligibility criteria and the terms and conditions of the award.

The eligibility criteria for the Tahir Scholarship in Singapore are stated below:

1. Full-time undergraduates commencing their undergraduate studies at SMU.

2. Enrolled in any program of study.

3. Singapore citizens and Singapore permanent residents.

4. Possess good academic results.

5. Active involvement and commitment in community service or sports.

6. With demonstrated financial need.
