Swansea University is now accepting applications for the Fully-Funded PhD Scholarships in Materials Engineering or Novel Coatings for the Prevention of Cut Edge Corrosion on Galvanized Steel in the UK. The Swansea University International Scholarship is open for the academic session 2022/2023.

The funding programme aims to encourage talented UK or International students who want to undertake a PhD degree programme at Swansea University. The scholarship will cover the full tuition fee and a stipend of £20,000 for four years.

Eligibility

  • Eligible Countries: All nationalities are eliible for this Swansea University International Scholarship.
  • Eligible Course or Subjects: PhD in Materials engineering, Physical sciences offered by the university
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:
  • Candidates must normally hold an undergraduate degree at 2.1 level (or Non-UK equivalent defined by Swansea University) in Engineering or similar relevant science discipline. An understanding of additive manufacturing is highly desirable.

  • How to Apply: The applicants must first apply for admission via the university portal.To apply for the studentship, students must follow the steps below at the time of application ‘Are you funding your studies yourself?’ – please select No.
  • “Name of Individual or organization providing funds for study’ – please enter ‘RS129 – EPSRC iCASE.’
  • Supporting Documents: The students are required to present the following documents to the university:
  • Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Monitoring Form
  • CV
  • Degree certificates and transcripts
  • A cover letter
  • Two references
  • Evidence of meeting English Language requirement
  • Copy of UK resident visa
  • Admission Requirements: The applicants must typically hold an undergraduate degree at 2.1 levels in Engineering or a similar relevant science discipline.
  • Language Requirement: The students must submit scores of the following English language proficiency tests:
  • IELTS – 6.5
