The Singapore University of Technology and Design Scholarship is open to all internationals who want to pursue a bachelor's degree in Singapore. The deadline for sending your application is Deadline varies. This scholarship is provided by the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD).

The Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) is the fourth autonomous university to be established in Singapore. SUTD's mission is to advance knowledge and nurture technically grounded leaders and innovators to serve societal needs. At SUTD, design as a discipline cuts across the curriculum and provides a novel framework for research and educational programs.

The benefits of the Singapore University of Technology and Design Scholarship are:

1. The Scholarship is valued at S$15,000 per annum for the normal duration (up to four years) of the respective degree programs at SUTD, subject to good academic standing and other terms

2. The quantum will be used towards the recipient’s annual subsidized tuition fees

3. No bond is attached to the Scholarship

4. The recipient must take up the Tuition Grant Scheme (TGS) from the Singapore Government to enjoy subsidized fees

5. Successful recipients may be granted internship and/or career opportunities with Hexacon Construction or its designated companies

6. The Scholarship also covers hostel fees for the Freshmore terms, where hostel stay is compulsory (valid only for scholarships awarded to Singaporeans).

The eligibility criteria for the Singapore University of Technology and Design Scholarship are stated below:

1. Applicant must be a Singaporean, Singapore Permanent Resident or International Student 

2. Applicants must be applying for admission to SUTD’s undergraduate degree program

3. Must have good academic standing

4. Must possess leadership potential and uphold strong values 

5. Must have good records of service and contribution to the university and/or to the community at large

6. Must have special consideration for those with demonstrated financial need

7. Recipients must complete at least 20 hours of service to the university. 

8. Recipients may not, without the approval of the University, hold any other scholarships or grants.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES

1. Application for the scholarships is made at the same time as application for admission to SUTD.

2. This scholarship may also be available mid-term. Existing students who are eligible will be invited to apply via MyPortal.

3. Late and incomplete submissions will not be processed.

4. Scholarships are awarded based on competition among eligible applicants.

5. SUTD reserves the right not to award any scholarship if there are no candidates of sufficient merit. The decision of the selection committee is final. Enquiries or disputes surrounding its decisions will not be entertained.
