The IST Scientific Internships in Austria is open to all nationals. ISTA refers to the Institute of Science and Technology Austria (ISTA). It is an international institute that offers paid internship opportunities for Bachelor’s and master’s degree students who would like to gain more experience in the fields of natural, computer sciences, mathematics, or in any related discipline. Students who are currently pursuing or have obtained a degree, are eligible to apply for the IST Scientific Internships 2024-25 in Austria. Interns will receive a minimum salary of EUR 1,462 gross/month.

Interns will be appointed for 1 year. There is no application fee associated. Interns can apply for free of cost. Candidates are selected by the IST Staff, or by the head of a research group depending on the availability of the project. The Institute is located in Maria Gugging, Klosterneuburg, Austria (near Vienna). Applicants are required to contact the staff directly related to their field of interest. • Once you have finalized the research group you want to work with, email the research group leader.
• While emailing remember to include the following things:
  • Short intro to your background, and your motivation to work with them.
  • Attach a CV (in PDF format), listing relevant experience, and education history.
  • Possible dates for your internship.
