Introduction

The Fully Funded Postgraduate Research Scholarship in Media and Communications in Australia is open to all nationals. This scholarship has been established to provide financial assistance to a PhD student undertaking research in platform/digital media. Also, the successful applicant will undertake their research as part of the funded Australian Research Council (ARC) Discovery project, “Australian Experiences of Algorithmic Culture on TikTok”.

Benefits

The Scholarship will provide a stipend allowance of $38,217 per annum for up to 3 years, subject to satisfactory academic performance. There will be no extension.

Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for Postgraduate Research Scholarship in Media and Communications are stated below:

Be enrolled, intending to apply, apply for admission, have a conditional or have an unconditional offer to a PhD within the School of Art, Communication, and English
Conduct research in platform/digital media
Hold an honors degree (first class or second class upper) or equivalent, or master’s degree in media studies, communication, digital media, digital cultures, or related fields.
