Introduction

The Fully Funded National Chiao Tung University Scholarship in Taiwan is open to all internationals. These scholarships are offered for masters/PhD/undergraduate studies. 

National Chiao Tung University offers scholarships for outstanding international students with excellent academic and research records to study at the University and to promote internationalization. The funding for the scholarship includes grants and subsidies from the Ministry of Education of Taiwan (R.O.C.). The scholarship is awarded for one academic year in principle and may be reapplied and reviewed regularly based on applicants’ academic performance and research records.

National Chiao Tung University is a public research university in Hsinchu, Taiwan. Established in 1896 as Nanyang Public School by an imperial edict of the Guangxu Emperor, it is one of Taiwan`s Leading Universities. NCTU international scholarships 2021 for the spring semester are open for international students. Taiwan scholarships for international students are now accepting the application to study in Taiwan.

Benefits

The benefits of the Fully Funded National Chiao Tung University Scholarship in Taiwan are:

1. Undergraduate students: up to NT$21,000 per month and/or tuition waiver.

2. Master’s students: up to NT$25,000 per month and/or tuition waiver.

3. Doctoral students: up to NT$30,000 per month and/or tuition waiver.

Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for the Fully Funded National Chiao Tung University Scholarship in Taiwan are stated below:

1. Required Language: English.

2. Eligible Countries: All world countries.

3. Students must have their bachelor’s degree/transcript (16-year) education at the time of application for Master's Degree applications.

4. Applicants must have their master`s degree/transcript (18-year) education at the time of application for PhD degree applications

5. Applicants must have an outstanding academic record

6. Must have a strong interest to study/research in Taiwan

7. Students will be preferred if they have extracurricular achievements, community engagement, social responsibility, and leadership skills.

8. Students must be able to demonstrate their English proficiency skills (if you have an English proficiency letter from your previous institution, it will be acceptable)

2. Log into your account from here and fill out the application. When filling out the online admission application form, mark “Apply for NCTU Scholarship” in the scholarship section for your application to be considered.

3. Required Documents:

a. Copy of Passport

b. Educational Documents (degrees/transcripts..)

c. Study Plan

d. Two letters of Recommendation

e. English language proficiency certificate

f. Work experience (if any)

g. Other documents (honors, awards, publications…), if any

4. Submit the admission application form and other required documents for admission and upload them to the NCTU online application system.
