Introduction

The Fully Funded Commonwealth Graduate Scholarships in UK are open to all nationals. Students who want to undertake their Master's Degree or PhD Degree from the UK are encouraged to apply. This is the most prestigious scholarship, and it will select a lot of students every year. This is the Fully Funded Scholarship for the academic session of 2025-2026.

Almost all academic fields and majors are available under the Commonwealth Masters Scholarship and Commonwealth PhD Scholarship to study postgraduate degree programs. Commonwealth UK Scholarship will cover all the expenses for studying free in the UK. The scholarship duration is 36 months.

Commonwealth Scholarships enable talented and motivated individuals to gain the knowledge and skills required for sustainable development and are offered to citizens from low and middle-income Commonwealth countries. Scholarships are funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), with the aim of contributing to the UK’s international development aims and wider overseas interests, supporting excellence in UK higher education, and sustaining the principles of the Commonwealth.

  • Approved round airfare tickets from your home country to the UK and return at the end of your award.
  • Stipend (living allowance) at the rate of £1,347 per month, or £1,652 per month for those at universities in the London metropolitan area.
  • Warm clothing allowance, where applicable
  • Thesis grant towards the cost of preparing a thesis or dissertation, where applicable
  • Study travel grant towards the cost of study-related travel within the UK or overseas.

Eligibility

  • Be a citizen of one of the eligible countries listed above.
  • Those who have completed their 4-year Bachelor's Degree or those who have completed 2-year bachelor's and 2-year Master’s are eligible to apply for the Commonwealth UK Scholarship.
  • Not be registered for a PhD, or an MPhil leading to a PhD, at a UK university before September 2025
  • By September 2025, hold a first degree of at least upper second class (2:1) honors standard, or a second class degree and relevant postgraduate qualification (usually a Master’s degree).
  • Be unable to afford to study in the UK without this scholarship.
