Introduction

Each year the School of Art in the ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences may offer up to four awards known as the EASS Patrons Higher Degree Research Award.

The objective of the award is to assist students who are enrolled full-time in the final year of a Higher Degree by Research program offered by the School of Art who have demonstrated a high capacity for achievement in his or her chosen field of Arts practice.

Funding for this award has been provided by the School of Art Emerging Artists Support Scheme program.

Benefits

The duration of a full-time award will be for two consecutive semesters in the first instance or such shorter period as is stated in the letter of offer.

Eligibility

The award will be available each year to a continuing student who:

  • (a) is a domestic and/or international student; and
  • (b) has completed a minimum of 96 units of a Doctor of Philosophy program in the School of Art, or a minimum of 48 units of a Master of Philosophy program in the School of Art, at the Australian National University
