Eligibility

  • The photo award is open to photographers from all around the world.
  • Photojournalists currently engaged in their profession are eligible to apply for this photography contest.
  • Moreover, applicants should have a commitment to addressing environmental issues, exploring human-Earth relationships, or highlighting sustainable development challenges through their photography.
  • If you can write and speak English or French, you can apply for this international Photo Contest for Photojournalists in 2024.
  • All image submissions must be in JPEG format, TIFF and EPS formats are not acceptable.
  • Each image file must not exceed a maximum size of 3 MB.
  • Similarly, Image files should be appropriately named and numbered according to the desired order for jury review.
  • All IPTC fields, including captions and copyright information, must be completed, and a PDF file containing the captions must be provided.
  • Failure to adhere to the specified technical criteria will result in disqualification from the Yves Rocher Foundation Photography Award competition.
  • To ensure impartial judging, images must not contain any visible identifiers revealing the applicant’s identity.

  • Curriculum vitae/CV
  • A cover letter detailing the proposed photo essay project (maximum 1 page)
  • A provisional budget outlining project expenses
  • The photo essay should consist of 12 to 20 images, either black and white or color
  • Scans of any publications featuring the applicant’s work
  • A copy of the photographer’s identity document
  • A sworn statement affirming they work as a photojournalist
