UQ Firebirds Scholarship in Australia 2025

The UQ Firebirds Scholarship in Australia is open to all nationals. It is a fantastic opportunity for students who have shown a commitment to netball, whether through playing, coaching, or volunteering. This scholarship was established in 2019 and is maintained by an annual gift from Queensland Firebirds and UQ Marketing and Communications.

The UQ Firebirds Scholarship is designed to support students who have demonstrated a strong commitment to the sport of netball, whether through playing, coaching, or volunteering. The scholarship provides financial assistance to students commencing an undergraduate coursework program at the University of Queensland (UQ).

The scholarship is valued at $5,000 for 1 year.

• Completed year 12 in the year prior to the award.
• Intend to enroll as a commencing student in any undergraduate coursework program in the year of the award.
• Can demonstrate you have played netball for school or a club or contributed to the sport of netball through coaching or volunteering within the previous 2-year period.
