  • Eligible Countries: All nationalities are eligible for this University of Groningen International Scholarship.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: PhD degree in Classical and Mediterranean Archaeology
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:
  • A Master’s degree in archaeology, geology, or geophysics with an excellent academic record
  • Poven research abilities and close affinity with the research topic
  • Excellent command of English and proven academic writing skills; working knowledge of Italian will be to your advantage.

  • How to Apply: To be eligible for this opportunity, applicants need to take admission in a PhD degree at the University of Groningen. After being enrolled, applicants can apply for the award.

  • A research proposal focusing on the central research question to be addressed and the proposed method of approaching and answering this question (max. 1500 words, plus tables and references, a project title plus a timeline through to completion), according to the format of the proposal that you see described in the application form above.
