Introduction

To support students to learn well by providing outstanding education, the University of Gloucestershire has decided to award Two full-time MA by Research or PhD Studentships in English Literature, English Language, or Creative Writing for the academic year 2022-2023.

Two students will be awarded MA by Research or PhD studentships in English Literature, English Language, or Creative Writing in any eligible field of study. The applicants must be home students interested in the designated field of study. Winners will be provided a full 100% tuition fee for the programme.

The University of Gloucestershire will provide the selected candidates 100% coverage of the home tuition fee for one year of the undertaken postgraduate study.

Eligibility

  • Eligible Countries: All home country national students are eligible to apply.
  • Eligible Course or Subjects: MA by Research or PhD programme in the area of Literature and decolonization, Ecolinguistics, Creative Writing, Crime fiction, LGBTQ+ perspectives in fiction, Children’s and YA literature, Travel writing, Poetry and the environment or PhD by publication offered at the University of Gloucestershire.
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • The applicants must have a demonstrated interest in the named research topics.

  • How to Apply: Students are required to log in to the job portal of the university and complete their admission application. To apply for the position, students must submit a cover letter and supporting documents to Dr. Charlotte Beyer [email protected].
  • Supporting Documents: The students must provide a CV and a research proposal detailing the project.
  • Admission Requirements: The applicants must have a BA (Hons) in English, English Literature, or Creative Writing (at least 2:1 standard or equivalent) or a master’s qualification in a relevant subject for MA by Research or PhD, respectively.
  • Language Requirement: The students must submit scores of the following English language proficiency tests:
