The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) of India and TWAS are offering TWAS-CSIR Postgraduate Fellowships in India, 2020 to foreign scholars interested in pursuing a PhD degree in Science and Technology.

The successful applicants of TWAS-CSIR Postgraduate Fellowship Programme will receive:

• Travel to and from India.
• A standard monthly allowance to cover accommodations, food, and health insurance.

To be eligible for the TWAS-CSIR Postgraduate Fellowship Programme, applicants must fulfil the following requirements.

• Applicants of TWAS-CSIR Postgraduate Fellowship Programme in India, 2020 must be nationals of a developing country (other than India).
• Applicants must be a maximum age of 35 years on 31 December of the application year.
• Applicants are required to hold a Master's degree in science and technology.
• Candidates must be regularly employed in the home country and hold a research assignment there.
• Applicants are required to be fluent in English.
• Applicants must be accepted at a CSIR laboratory/institution.

Documents Required:

• Selected candidates should provide an official acceptance letter from the host institution.
• Applicants of TWAS-CSIR Postgraduate Fellowships in India, 2020 must not hold any visa for temporary or permanent residency in India or any developed country.
• Applicants must not take up any other assignment during the duration of their fellowship.
• Candidates should be financially responsible for any accompanying family members.
• Candidates applying for TWAS-CSIR Postgraduate Fellowships in India, 2020 must return to their home country after the completion of the fellowship.
