Recent surveys have shown that over 50% of youth are experiencing eco-anxiety and are worried about environmental and climate change, with many reporting feelings of anxiousness, sadness, anger, helplessness, powerlessness, and guilt. TSL wants to help youth develop a sense of empowerment, agency, and hope for solutions by creating a safe space for expression for people to explore changing their feelings of eco-anxiety to eco-action & empowerment.

The top-performing participant will receive the grand prize winner with a cash prize of £1000 and a prestigious trophy along with an additional £500 for their school. Similarly, the Runner-Up will be honored with a trophy and a cash prize of £500, along with £250 for their school (cash prizes will be in the local currency). Furthermore, all Teacher Champions, Essay Finalists, Honorable Mentions, and participants in the International Debate will receive personalized electronic certificates.
