Scholarship Description

PhD Scholarship in ‘Structures and Materials': Manufacturing Alloys with Refined Microstructure through SPD for High Strength and Radiation Resistance is offered for PhD degree in the field of Science or Engineering. The deadline for sending an application is 31 Dec 2026. This scholarship is provided by the RMIT University.

The research will employ SPD techniques in a novel way to create materials with refined grains that might have improved mechanical properties and greater radiation endurance.

Scholarship Benefits

Successful applicants will get a scholarship of $33,826.

Scholarship Eligibility

  • Have Master by Research degree; or
  • A Master by Coursework degree with a significant research component graded as high distinction or equivalent; or
  • A Bachelor's degree achieving first-class honours; in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Materials, Manufacturing), Science (Physics, Chemistry), or a related field.
