The Young Leaders Fellowship will provide the chosen cohort of young leaders with the necessary tools, skills, knowledge, and networks to promote constructive change within their communities. Moreover, with the Young Leadership fellowship, fellows will undertake leadership and activity roles throughout the duration of the fellowship, such as in the induction workshop, monthly meetings, and end-of-project convening. The duration of the Oxfam Young Leaders Fellowship is around 9 months. Participants will also attend an in-person induction workshop in Bangkok, Thailand.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be 27 years old or younger at the time of application.
  • Candidates must be citizens of one of the countries of Oxfam in Asia offices, including Bangladesh, Cambodia, Pakistan, India, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, Philippines, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Thailand, or Timor-Leste.
  • Moreover, fellows should demonstrate a strong dedication to bringing positive social change and sustaining it over time. Thus, showcasing their creativity and motivation.
  • To be eligible for the Oxfam Young Leaders Fellowship Programme, applicants should have fluency in English, both written and spoken, necessary for effective communication within the fellowship program.
  • Candidates should also possess skills and proficiency in utilizing digital or other tools.
  • Women and individuals from minority communities are encouraged to apply for the Oxfam Leadership Fellowship 2024.
  • Applicants should not be currently employed and must not take full-time employment during the fellowship period.
  • They should dedicate a minimum of 30-40 hours per week for 9 months from the starting date of the fellowship.
  • Fellows will be responsible for creating and maintaining a network of 50 or more individuals.
